With trick or treat being this Saturday in Kenmore from 5-7 pm, we thought it would be a good idea to offer some suggestions on having a safe night.  The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) offers some great suggestions such as walking in groups or with an adult, inspecting all treats, and avoiding eating homemade treats from strangers.  As always, follow basic safety rules such as looking both ways when crossing the street and never accepting rides from strangers.  We also recommend the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s “Lucky 13” Tips for a Safe Halloween.

Of course, Halloween wouldn’t be complete without one of my favorites, the Peanuts Gang:

It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown by Charles M. Schultz

Join the PEANUTS gang as they get ready for a night of trick-or-treating, bobbing for apples, and pumpkin patches. In this faithful adaptation of It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown , young readers are introduced to the classic tale in a deluxe Peanuts format–this hardcover edition which makes a stunning addition to any PEANUTS collection.  For the television version, click here.
